The In Between Season

I can hardly believe summer is slowly folding into fall. For the first time, I’m not rushing to get to the next season. Maybe it’s age, maybe it’s wisdom, or maybe it’s simply learning to appreciate each season for the beauty it holds.

If I’m honest, there’s a little sadness in watching summer fade. I’ve been savoring these last golden weeks, soaking in the warmth, the blooms, and the still evenings. But in the quiet of transition, I’ve noticed something—so many of us overlook this in-between season.

It’s a season of stillness, sometimes even awkwardness. Yet, it’s sacred. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

As Christian women, daughters of Christ, we are called to see differently, to live differently, to shine differently. That includes embracing the in-between. Too often we’re so focused on what’s ahead that we miss the blessings tucked right here, in the waiting. Whether it’s figurative or literal, God is present in the transitions.

So, I encourage you, dear friends—step into this in-between season with Jesus. Ask Him how to prepare your heart for what’s next, while also receiving the quiet gifts He’s offering right now.
